MAREIPORT, S.A. is the parent company leading a company group made up of three companies (MAREIPORT, ZEUKO & PROSA) specializing in the different industries and activities related to lifting and transportation equipment in the port environment, as well as comprehensive maintenance of port facilities.
MAREIPORT
MAREIPORT, S.A. (Montaje, Mantenimiento y Reparaciones de Instalaciones Portuarias, S.A.) was founded in 1985 with the main purpose of offering specialized service for port cranes in general and specially STSs (Ship To Shore Cranes) and RTGs (Rubber Tired Gantry Cranes), as well as providing a comprehensive maintenance service for Port Terminals and Facilities.
With highly-qualified personnel and the appropriate tools for the complex tasks to be performed, MAREIPORT, S.A. rapidly became a leading company in the Spanish market for port crane and port facility maintenance services.
MAREIPORT, S.A. usual services include comprehensive assembly of forefront STSs and RTGs, comprehensive maintenance of container terminals, repair and adjustments of all types of port cranes, such as spinning gantry cranes, bulk carriers, STSs, RTGs, and industrial cranes such as bridge cranes, polar cranes, and floodgate, shipyard and cement plant cranes.
In the crane adjustment section, we highlight our experience in the enlargement works of the STSs and RTGs environment. We are a leading company in the national market, being thus a trustworthy company for the performance of such tasks. We have successfully finished enlargement works at Maerks-Algeciras, at the TCV Terminal (Valencia), at OPCSA (Las Palmas), T.C. Honduras, and TCB (TMA, CAPSA), among others.
ZEUKO
It is the engineering company of our Company Group.
With headquarters in Bilbao (Parque Tecnológico, Edificio 207-B, Zamudio - Vizcaya), it has a specialized technical staff (engineers, project developers, assembly technical supervisors, quality inspectors, etc.) for the operation of its main business, mainly the calculation, design, engineering project development (approved by the applicable Industrial Engineering Official Boards) and the development of the necessary technical documents, manufacture and/ or repair of mechanisms, structures and other components of lifting and transportation machines, as well as supervising the assembly or the necessary “in situ” repairs.
ZEUKO, S.A. is one of the companies that started in the north of Spain at the end of the 1950s to meet the needs of ports, shipyards, iron and steel companies, etc. These companies used to operate with licenses from well-known German companies (M.AN., DEMAG, KRUPP, LIEBHERR ...) English companies (SHORTER & PITT, LARK CHAPMAN, MORRIS,...), French companies (CAILLARD, PINGON,...) and American companies (PACECO, AMERICAN HOIST, GROVE, ...)
By the end of the 1980s, the economic recession forced the main crane manufacturers (URBASA, ELYMA, OMEGA, ZORROZA, ...) to reduce their size and join in a single company (SAELMAT), which survived until the mid 1990s, with the financial help of public institutions.
At this time (1994) ZEUKO, S.A. was founded. It purchased technical documents (more than 300,000 plans and studies for about 3,800 facilities) and hired some engineers, designers and personnel with expertise in all types of cranes. That is why the name ZEUKO, S.A. is an acronym for the first letters of the main companies (ZORROZA, ELYMA, URBASA, KRUGG and OMEGA).
PROSA
Founded in 1997, it is the group company that specializes in activities related to rail installation and comprehensive maintenance of lifting machines at container terminals.
PROSA’s main area of expertise is the installation and repair of dock rails and crane rails. Since one of the most troublesome areas for STSs is railings (fracture, disarrangement, unbalance, etc.), PROSA provides technical solutions that range from the inspection and problem detection stage (visits and technical reports development, case study and provision of solutions), to the engineering stage (design of scaffolding and special tools for this type of task and work procedures development appropriate for each case) and the installation and repair stage with highly qualified personnel.
Among its customers are: Container Terminals (TERMISUD-Málaga and MARVALSA - Valencia) or Port Authorities such as Tenerife or Algeciras Bay.
